Refreshing Green Hawaiian Smoothie

Well, I make a lot of green smoothies, and even though most of them have similar ingredients, it only takes one or two items to make it taste different and special. This one I made tonight, and it was so refreshing, smooth, and super delicious! It reminded me of being in Hawaii because of the wonderful flavor and aroma. Not only was it energizing and filling, but the family really love it too!

Note: Freezing your fresh fruit ahead of time always makes for a nice cold, creamy smoothie!

1 scoop raw protein powder
2 tsp vanilla bean powder
1/4 to 1/2 cup fresh frozen pineapple chunks
1/2 to 1 cup fresh frozen mango chunks
1/4 to 1/2 cup fresh papaya chunks
2 cups or more fresh spinach
1 scoop Revitaphi green super food (or super powder greens of your choice)
1T raw coconut butter
1 large peeled banana
1T bee pollen
5-6 drops clear liquid SweetLeaf stevia
1 tsp raw honey
12oz or more fresh coconut water
purified water (enough to cover fruit)
4-5 ice cubes made with purified water

Place all ingredients in a high speed blender, and mix on high until super smooth, creamy and somewhat thick like a shake. Serve cold. Makes about 2-4 tall glasses. Yummo!

Super Berry Bam Shake

The other morning I used the frozen gojis with blueberries I had, plus other berries, and then “kick-it-up a notch” for a “Bam” of a berry shake! Try it for yourself. It’s full of super anti-oxidants, vitamin C, and so much more super food!!! 🙂

Note: You can purchase noni, acai, lucuma, and vanilla powder online through the Raw Food World website, or Natural Zing, or through The Raw Guru…

1 cup goji berries (hydrated and frozen)
1 cup blueberries (frozen)
2 bananas
1/4 cup pineapple (frozen chunks)
1/4 cup pitted cherries (frozen)
1/4 cup raspberries (frozen)
1/4 cup strawberries (frozen)
1T maca powder
1T lucuma powder
1T raw protein (optional)
1T raw oatmeal
1T shredded coconut
1T raw almond butter
1T raw coconut butter or Artisana’s goji bliss butter
1T raw cacao nibs
2 tsp. vanilla powder or scraped vanilla bean
2 tsp. acai powder
2 tsp. noni powder
2 tsp. raw honey or several drops SweetLeaf liquid stevia
6oz coconut water
handful raw sliced or chopped almonds
purified ice and purified water to cover

Combine all ingredients in a high-speed blender, and mix until very smooth and frothy like a shake. Ready to serve – and “Bam” you are energized! 🙂

Super Berry Bam Shake

Rawbucks Iced Mocha

I actually got the idea for this drink from a recipe I found through the Sunny Raw Kitchen site. The recipe was called “Best Coffee Ever”. It was very good, but a little too thick, and strong. So, I made some changes after many trial and errors with the recipe. I finally came up with this rendition, which I truly found delicious! I hope you do too.

One note: I recommend you use “heaping” scoops of the raw cacao powder, and heaping tablespoons of the raw carob. It’s okay to use a little more of both then not.

1 Scoop, Raw Cacao Powder
1 tablespoon Raw Carob Powder
1 tablespoon Maca Powder
1 tablespoon Lucuma Powder
3 Capsules, Fo-Ti (Ho Shou Wu), emptied
1 tablespoon Yacon (like syrup)
1½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 Squirt, Agave (generous)
6 drop SweetLeaf Liquid Stevia – Chocolate Flavor
dash Cinnamon
2 cup Nut Milk (I used Macadamia/Almond), Use more or less depending upon consistency desired.
1 Handful, Macadamia Nuts
4 Ice cubes, or more
dash Nutmeg

Place all ingredients into a blender (except the ice). Blend on high till well mixed, then add ice. Blend again on high until smooth and frothy. Pour into your favorite glass and add a sprig of mint, or you can add raw chocolate sauce. It’s very yummy and very satisfying…and it makes you feel real good!

Chocolaty Good Cacao Pina Colada Smoothie
